Meet the KDP Team

Design

The design department’s graphic designers have three main roles.

They check and correct any specifications in customer uploaded artwork, editing them to ensure they will work and are specification compliant. They create bespoke designs for customers who don’t supply their own artwork.

Working to, they will liaise with the customer to design the perfect sticker or label artwork for them. Sometimes they help customers update and improve existing artwork – changing text or making aesthetic tweaks, for example.

Finally, they ensure all artwork is ready for print. Many artwork files need additional processing to make sure they will print as intended. Only when sure everything is in order, the design team will pass print-ready files on to the print department.

Print

The print department take the artwork and supplementary files supplied by our designers and put them through our printing machinery to create metres of material with the customer’s artworks printed on them.

The print team also have general duties of maintaining the machinery and making sure they are always in tip top shape.

Production

Once the rolls of printed artworks come off the presses, they are passed on to the production team, who trim and cut them to the required sizes with laser or die-cutting machinery.

The team also has other duties, such as applying specific finishes like lamination, and preparing orders for the customer’s required format such as on rolls, sheets, or individual cut labels.

Customer Support

The support team deal any post-sale enquiries about a job, such as questions about its delivery schedule, and also with any problems or complaints.

They monitor and share any relevant customer feedback with other departments, so they are able to review, improve or fix any issues – all part of our continuous improvement process.
