Melanie has visited 19 countries and aims to go to at least one new country a year. She loves to explore new cultures and cuisines.

What’s the best part about working at KDP?
The best part about working at KDP is the teamwork. I have experienced this both within the design department and while working with the management team. Everyone is friendly, approachable, and happy to help.
What’s the best part about your job?
The best part about my job is helping others improve their skills; and watching them develop and grow within the company. Every day is different, with a variety of different customers, challenges, and new ways to improve.
How have you progressed since joining KDP?
I have seen the company go through a variety of changes, always striving to make improvements for staff and customers. I started as a designer and have worked my way up through all roles to design manager. This has given me a great understanding of how important each member of the team is and what is needed for us to work really well together, and with other departments. KDP supported me to complete a team leader/supervisor apprenticeship with the BPIF, in which I gained a distinction.
Senior Designer
Started at KDP in October 2021
Claire has 13 tattoos which she designed and drew herself. She has also met celebrity cook Mary Berry!

The best part about working at KDP is the people. Everyone is so supportive and fun to be around.
What’s the best part of your job?
The best part about my job is the bespoke design jobs which allow me to have creative freedom.
How have you progressed at KDP?
Since joining KDP, I have developed as a person with my confidence and found my voice to speak up and help others. I have worked my way up from a junior, middleweight to senior designer in just over a year. I have helped the team to grow stronger together, suggesting and implementing a lot of changes to make our work life better.
Assistant Design Manager
Started at KDP in December 2020
Chris’s first attempt at graphic design was a Christmas card which ended up the mantelpiece at Number 10 Downing Street!

What’s the best part about working at KDP?
The sense of innovation the company upholds. There is no ‘putting up with’ long processes or outdated systems, everything is looked at seriously and people’s time is heavily valued. There is always a sense of progress and there is plenty of ways to get involved.
What’s the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is helping save the team time and coming up with creative solutions to our problems and any obstacles. The feeling of satisfaction when a concept becomes an implemented system cannot be matched.
How have you progressed at KDP?
I worked my way up from a junior designer to a part of the design management team. KDP have invested in me and put me through my BPIF team leader/supervisor course which I completed with a distinction. I have been proud to assist with multiple time-saving projects and implementations.
